In this two-hour course, local artist and printmaker Rose Todero will guide you through the basic techniques of block printing and help you apply them to your bookmark design. Explore the concepts of negative space and relief printmaking, designing stamps based on your favorite bookish tropes and other whimsical motifs.
By the end of class, you’ll leave with your stamps, bookmarks, and the know-how to keep creating at home. All materials provided – come enjoy a relaxed learning environment and enjoy this fun fusion of fiction and printmaking!
