Join local author Sarah Dulany-Gring (SDG) for a deeply transformative 2-hour journaling workshop where you'll explore the power of self-expression, introspection, and creative exploration through the art of journaling. Drawing inspiration from her debut book: Naked—a series of lyrical, heartfelt essays on self-acceptance and personal growth—Sarah will guide you through the process of using your journal as a tool for both emotional release and self-honoring reflection.

Throughout this class, you'll discover how journaling can serve as a form of self-therapy, offering a way to mend a broken heart, reflect on inner struggles, and celebrate your journey of change and transformation. Whether it's a small moment—a cup of coffee, a hug, or a meaningful gesture—or a larger personal journey—growth, love, and healing—journaling offers a sacred space to process it all.

By engaging in creative writing and drawing exercises, you will learn how to use your journal as a “pep talk,” a place to sort through your thoughts, track your growth, and capture both the small and monumental moments of your life. Through Sarah’s approachable guidance, you’ll understand how journaling allows you to document your own narrative while inspiring your future self with the wisdom you discover today.

In this immersive workshop, we’ll combine various art mediums such as colored pencils, markers, paints, and inks with traditional pen and paper, allowing you to express your thoughts and emotions visually as well as through words. You’ll be encouraged to "draw your soul" and create a personal visual journal that mirrors your inner world.
