They say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, so gather your junk for this experimental workshop in GEL PRINTMAKING! Join Rose Todero as she guides you through how to make unique, visually dynamic prints using recycled materials as your tools and inspiration.
Combining Speedball gel printing plates with Amsterdam Acrylics, Rose will show you how to use your junk as a tool for image impressions, playing with concepts of negative space and abstract design. You’ll have time to explore various techniques to take your gel printing to the next level. By the end of class, you’ll leave with your “trash to treasure” prints and the knowledge you need to continue your printmaking journey at home.
All materials & junk items will be provided; students are welcome to bring items from home as well. Keys, cans, bottle caps, nuts and bolts, look through that junk drawer and see what inspires you!
