Paraffin Wax is derived from petroleum. It is relatively brittle and will flake when used alone for batik; therefor it is commonly mixed with beeswax or other additives. It can also be used for cleaning brushes that have been used for Encaustic, as well as candle making. It comes in easy-to-measure pellets, and has a lower melting point of about 127 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Melts at 127 degrees Fahrenheit
